Hello,
Apologies if a stupid question but I went to view a car earlier and noticed some of the tyre valves looked odd/ had something white on them. Haven’t seen this on a car and wanted to check this wasn’t something I should be aware of?
Many thanks in advance.

Did they have any valve caps on them? Wonder if they had metal caps on and there was some kind of bimetallic corrosion?

Shouldn't be a major put-off as unless it's got TPMS valves, they'd usually be replaced with a tyre change.

The aluminium in the tpms valve has reacted with something, as said probably a metal valve cap.

Get them changed at the next tyre change and mention it to the seller, it'll be worth a small consideration but not more than £200 tops.

Thats a TPMS valve with the valve cover missing, you can replace the valves, they are around £20 from BMW.
