Hi all,

I’m after a bit of advice really. Stuck in a rut and not sure what to do...

Currently own a Toyota Corolla T-Sport (the supercharger version)

It’s off the road at the moment, SORN, needs a new alternator and spark plugs.
Problem is that the supercharger is on its way out slowly. These are looking like they’ll cost around 5k, which I really can’t afford.

I’m stuck with knowing what to do with it really. Do I just sell it now as a non starter? Or do I fix the alternator and spark plugs, get it back on the road and then sell it before the supercharger goes?

I don’t even know if it would be worth more than scrap if I sold it now and ripped off the bandage so to speak...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😁

Alternator should be fairly cheap to replace even at a garage. Better to sell car if running. MoT'd would be even better.

New supercharger on ebay for 2 grand. 5 grand seems very steep. Low mileage used ones may come up. What makes you think you need a new one?

There are numerous supercharger rebuild services if you have a google. I'm not sure what type the toyota uses but whatever the make, removing it, rebuilding it and refitting will be a cheaper option.
If it's a G Lader, Jabbasport will remove and refit it for you as well.
