Help please my Ford Escort XR3i 1989 69k is being returned to the UK from France I have a V5/2 new Keepers Supplement which is in Green , this will hopefully be sold private not to a Trader (the trader part is Red V5/3 ) is this form still valid or do I need new one from DVLA !!!

Was it declared exported when it moved to France ?

The green section is only valid for 6 months from the date it was signed.

V5C/2 doesn't give you a new V5C in your name - it just tided whoever over until theirs came through.

You'll need a V62 and £25 to get a new V5C. IF it's still on DVLA, which it probably will be. Otherwise, it'll be a V55/5 and the full import rigmarole.

No it was never exported here , has been stored in the garage , started first time after two years.

So it's never had a UK V5 then? Is that what you're saying?

No, he's saying it's still on a UK V5, and never had a French CG.
