Tire pressure on cambered wheels
Discussion
I need some advise on correct tire pressure with my camber setup. I have 7 degrees negative on the front running 245/45r17 on continental extreme contact dws 06's (Z rated) . The rear tires have 2 degrees negative running 275/40r17 on tigerpaws with wheel spacers. This is on my 01 ford svt mustang cobra. Any help or ideas would be awesome!
Probably won't make much difference what pressures you run, as you must be running on the shoulder of the tyre anyway. Whilst you might like the questionable aesthetic of 7 degrees negative camber, I imagine the handling is equally questionable? Anything over 4 degrees will have a negative impact on handling and something like 2.5 is nearer ideal.

Ford's preferred spec for camber on that car is -0.6º.Ford's allowable range for camber on that car is in the range of +1.35º to -1.5º.
The OP's -7º is massively outside of the allowable range, but of course we all knew this.

To be honest, I assumed OP might have been running an uprated suspension set-up, to be able to dial in such extreme levels of camber and that factory specs' would no longer apply?
To get to -7º, he's likely using lowered suspension as well as camber/castor adjustment plates.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
