How often do you clean the inside of your windscreen?
Discussion
Not an exciting topic at all, but just a thought.
I clean the outside of the windows and the wipers quite often.
I tend to do the inside of my windscreen, rear screen and windows and every couple of months(with newspaper and cleaning spray) and even then, post-cleaning it seems like putting on a pair of glasses in comparison with pre-cleaning and reduces glare from lights and the sun.
Considering that most people don't give their cars any maintenance I suspect that many people never clean the interior of the glass.
If you don't do it very often, go out and do it now!
It's like adding 50bhp to your engine especially at dawn/dusk.

Probably clean inside of windscreen at least once a month, because you have to as it only takes a few weeks after each clean for that milky opaque film to adhere itself to the inside of all the glass again.
Something to do with chemicals given off by all the plastics in modern cars compared to older cars IIRC....???

Newspaper? Is that effective?
It certainly is.I use the newspaper with the cleaner and then, when it's dried, polish the glass with more newspaper.
I remember my mum and gran using the same technique on their house windows when I was a kid.
I tend to clean the inside of my windscreen as little as I can get away with it, as effective as newspaper is to reduce streaks I always seem to get one somewhere on the glass usually only noticed at night by glare of oncoming traffics lights or in bright sunlight.
Thread resurrection o’clock!
Anyone have any reasons why my windscreen (and rear window) are becoming dirty/foggy within days of cleaning. Also any tips to stop it. I’ve owned many new cars over the years and never experienced this issue. Used to clean the inside every 6 months or so but it’s getting really annoying having to clean so often!
It’s not a condensation/damp issue. I’ve tried various glass cleaners and nothing makes any difference, within a week of cleaning it’s like they haven’t been cleaned in months.
Help!

Do you Vape? That seems to leave a slight oil around the windows and makes it near impossible to see out the windscreen at night or during the low sun and its bloody hard to shift too.
I know the thread is over ten years old but I used to clean mirrors with the old newspaper trick. it is very affective. Might try that on my windscreen.

Nope. None smoker/vaper.
I’d wondered if it was an air-con thing. First car I’ve had in some time with climate control as opposed to straight air-con (although I did leave the a/c button on all year round).
Might try the newspaper trick. My grandma used to clean her windows by chopping an apple in half and rubbing on the glass then cleaning with newspaper. Maybe an old trick will work.
