......to find a car of any era that has aged better than this

....cracking on for 14 years since it was released and to my eyes there's not a line on it that couldn't have left the pen of some polo necked, frameless glassed wonder yesterday. So go on I dare you, in fact I double dare you tongue out

So to confirm the rules, we're not looking for something timelessly beautiful (like an E39), but something that looks like it may have been launched last year despite being really old?

It would get away with a 2006 plate maybe. An E60 Sport, whilst not a good looking car, is 10 year's old now. Looks fairly fresh.

No, that doesn't look like a modern Audi. It needs a set of retina-burning LED DRLs to make the whingers cry for that. biggrin

You say that as though it's a good thing. All modern cars are cab forward and blobby so this was ahead of it's time? OK, it's neat but had a short bonnet by making it non-opening. I didn't want one then or now.

However, I'll see your A2 and offer the 6 years older Fiat Punto Mark 1 from 1993

I think it still looks quite new, being almost a decade old now...

Does anyone here realise some of the ridiculous features of those A2s? Very strangely designed some of it...

ETA: Oh and totally timeless...

Still looking 50 years old brand new at dealers near you. smile

A2 has done well. With a bit of pointless flame surfacing and chintzy LED lights it could be in the lineup today.
