06 Crossfire convertible.
Rear spoiler erects of it's own accord when ignition is turned off.
Goes down again after about 5 minutes of driving when "down" button is pushed.
Any idea what is wrong and remedy please.
Thanks.

I assume this is a speed sensitive rear spoiler? Does it still erect at correct speed?

Do you have an after market alarm installed?

Yes it is Speed sensitive.
It's the wife's car ,only drives it in town but I believe it functions ok other than as described.
The fault occurs intermittently.
No after market alarm.

Lot's of google hits on old batteries causing this problem, something about a microswitch in the boot and convertibles getting confused if you play with the spoiler when the roof is down. Also something about the button flashing if the spoiler is not in the correct position.

As above, battery / micro switch is the most common problem. Sometimes they need to be reset, switch it to manual override and wind it fully up then fully down. U should get three beeps to confirm.

Let us know how u get on

I wound the spoiler down manually and disconnected the micro switch .
Thanks for all your advice.
