What's a 'blokes car'?
Not a Puma - always thought it looked odd seeing a bloke driving one, same with the Fiat 500 ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Also, on this subject, when did you last see a Cougar on the road, it's bigger brother?
I have owned 3 all V6 X packs, not the quickest thing to drive but lovely engine note and fun car to driveI had recently bought a 6 month old Mk.2 Mondeo 2.0 Si from the same dealer (Cougar was based on the Mondeo) and they let me take the V6 Cougar out on my own.
I easily had it at its indicated top speed of 140mph on a near by dual carriageway.
It seems strange that back then a 2.5 V6 only produced 170PS, although it seemed amazing to me because my Mondeo only had 130PS.

As it was a 4 speed the rev limiter would have intervened at a true 130!
Apologies for getting off-topic, but at least it is about old Fords.

Always fancied a Puma.
I had a Fiesta Zetec-S of a similar vintage, which I believe was the same chassis, albeit with a 1.6 engine - It was good fun to drive but felt like it needed a better engine, it's a shame it didn't use the 1.7.
This was a popular mod back in the day. I had a mk5 zetec s with a puma lump in it. Definitely improved the car.
