Revcomps back to the desperate 3-4 emails a day to try and get more sales, if the odds were better like when they started they would sell more
I think it's their prices that put most people off. Even with relative odds to the cost I think most would prefer to spend a quid at worse odds, especially if they're dipping in to a few comps.

Is that a pun on recent videos or a real car? can't find much on google!

It was announced in the live draw on Monday and people in the comments got a bit carried away with the "Track Hawk Tuah" thing, so I'm guessing they've run with it for a bit. The "TrackHawk Tuah" is not a real Jeep model.

Just logged in, took me a while to remember my password. I've ended up on their winners' map. I didn't know there was a place on the Isles of Scilly called New Grimsby.

It worked. I spotted the 3 litre Capri. Shame about the sunroof.

I've just seen that on Twitter. I am not sure what Oh Ah Cantona has do with the Capri.

I still want the Capri. It's quite late for an Essex powered one. MoT history looks good despite the expiration. An uncle who died a few years ago rented a 4 pot Capri in metallic paint for a family funeral and an ex-GF may've been taken on holiday in her carry-cot in the boot of a Mk2 or Mk3. I assume her siblings were in the back seat.

I think the quality of Revs prizes is dropping off a cliff.

It started before then went to a 10 ticket max but it certainly hasn’t improved since then.

An 2014 911 turbo is arguably the best new prize on for next Thursday when you consider DCG are having some really punchy prizes and draws.

The first Revs prize I ever entered was for a 718 Spyder but don’t see anything like that now.

So are they’re accounts going to show a dip in profits etc ?

I agree the quality of prizes is going down but I actually think their profits will go up because they’re buying higher mileage cars and selling tickets for the same price.

There’s been plenty weeks gone by where I’ve been in for every car but in the last couple of months there’s been weeks I’ve had no interest, I just don’t dream of winning a diesel, SUV or a car with 40k+ miles but plenty people do as they’re still selling reasonably well.

Having said all that I’ll be maxing out on the 911 turbo which is a dream car for me, only downside to this one is the seat colour but I’m sure I’d cope!

I'm almost exclusively in for motorhomes and campers on RC at the moment as they tend to be fairly new and good spec.

On the main prizes I'd happily run a Lambo/Ferrari/Porsche etc for 6 months if it's a few years old and in warranty but no chance am I taking a punt on the 6-10 year old big prizes they have had on recently. The cash that comes with it will largely go on insurance and tax so as soon as something breaks or it needs even routine servicing, I'd expect it to be prohibitively expensive to keep for most people. The Aston with 50k an obvious exception...

The usual run of diesel estates, newish BMWs and chavved up fast Audi's just don't do it for me.

At least everything isn't ruined by Maxton kits however a quick look and it's something like only 1 out of the last 11 and 4 out of the last 24 cars on Revs that haven't been white, black or grey. Saved me a few quid. I'll go in for the 911 next Thursday - a warrantied blue rocket ship with £5k on top? Yes please.

If I was still a biker then I'd have been in for a few of those - some magnificent machines recently.

They do seem to be going for quantity over quality these days. Having all of the auto draw cars and Rolex's probably ties up a lot of cash and means older, higher mileage cars for the live draws.

Saying that I am mainly in for campers and motorhomes which seem to have remained newer models.

I'm in 2 minds TBH. The GLE350d currently on revs isn't my 'dream car' - but it's nice enough for mrs DG to be well chuffed if I won it, AND it's a nice ish colour. I do agree with the whole monochrome everything though frown

As a side note; I'm very thankful for the various freebie comps where I've not won a sausage, it just rams home how lucky you have to be to win anything
