Fast it maybe, but elegant it is not. If i'm going to lay a million plus on a car. I want it to look like an elegant hypercar, not a car that takes it's styling cues from a US Stealth bomber. Same windscreen wrap around for the last twenty years?

A hard pass from me.
If you can afford one of these, you probably don't have to choose. Most owners will have a whole fleet of super / hypercars.

I just think it's wonderful that Koenigsegg exists and is still setting such records in an age where most cars, even performance models, seem to be sculpted purely by legislation.

I'm sure it's probably for aero dynamic reasons..

I saw one in North Finchley of all places - a fairly nondescript suburb of London (nicer than Edmonton, not as nice as Hampstead)

Never seen them in Knightsbridge, Mayfair or the usual locations

as an ex N9 resident. Edmonton has been slipping deeper and deeper into the cesspool of humanity since the early 80s It makes grade 1 stholes look respectable and saddens me to see it go downhill.esp when you think it cannot get any worse... and then does.. with ease. i understand the locals call it skank city

back on topic any idea what g forces that is pulling in those 30 secz?
I used to live in N18. My mum still does - thankfully a nice part. It's not the worst place in London. That honour belongs to Wood Green, if we're talking North of the river.
No... the worst place in in London north of the river would be Stonebridge, NW10. Truly a place where hope goes to die.

I do wonder if Koenigsegg are real, or do they just have the odd car dotted around the globe for marketing purposes, I mean who buys them?

Great test and superb results. How about leave that music out. We want to hear the car. Shame that bit never really came across.

I've been lucky enough to have a factory tour and runs out on their run way, a day i'll never forget, thats for sure! There were no secrets on the day, they let you look anywhere and everywhere, passed you intricate parts to look at and hold, stopped dyno testing to show off their dyno cell etc.

They are such great people and an amazing company, that i love seeing any wins they get, like this!

A mild insult all of a sudden turns into pretty much the worst possible.

I call people berks all the time, and they just smile. hehe

Definitely going to have to bring it back into regualr circulation, just to be able to explain the origin.

That's not how you set a 0 - Speed - 0 time...

All records previously were set with overall time for the complete test, not just adding together the best split times from one or multiple runs!

Yes, and I read the text in the description below, single run for two records.....

I quote from the video description 'In one acceleration, from stand still, up to 412.72 km/h and back down again, the Jesko Absolut managed to take the following production car records:'

They are claiming records from composite times, not individual timed runs with overall time. This cheats the timing as the application of braking is one of the critical elements of the record run. They ran the car past the speed needed then braked and looked at the times for braking only when it was probably at full braking effort as it slowed down past 400km/h/250mph
