There is a Mulliner Spec on the website which looks a bit Fast 'n Furious....

Finally they have dropped the school plastic oval template lighting and done something interesting. That alone makes a big diffeence. The other changes -> transformed to something modern and sharp from a 90's jelly mould.
Great colour for the marketing photos and the drivetrain sounds pretty immense. because the electric motor can support the blowers and reduce lag - nice idea too. Seems like a basic addition for any turbo car these days.

Looks pretty nice. Like the new M5, it has a V8 so surely a good thing. People say they’d rather have a Continental R or an E39 M5 (driven both, both special and charming) but the reality is these
are pretty nice new cars in a sea of EV misery. And yes I do know people with a Taycan, I3 etc, the Taycan people don’t like them and are changing them for a 911 in one instance an RS6 in the other and the i3 people have them as a runaround, real cars being a 599 in one instance and a W12 Bentayga in the other, I am not some total bigot - but new V8 cars with a different leading design gets my vote, even if they are heavy.

There is a limit to the number of coats of lacquer you can apply to a turd. Has lottery winner appeal, I suppose.
What wonderful machines are in your garage if you class a Bentley as a ‘turd’? ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Be a boring place if everybody thought the same thing

Is it just me who thinks it looks like a facelift, akin to Ferrari's 458 to 488? While I realise they have to preserve a marketable aesthetic, I was expecting a touch more daring after the Batur/Bacalar siblings; feel a bit underwhelmed.
Auto Express ran the story as this still being based upon the previous gen's platform, so this now adds up (if AE's correct). Let’s see if the pics work now.
My takeaway: Bentley chaps were at pains to convince me this is a brand new 4th gen Conti, all panels are different etc etc. but clearly it’s just a refresh with admittedly a new power train. Interior is identical bar some different trim materials, exterior is similar with just different headlights, taillights and bumpers. The retractable rear spoiler has been deleted. Disappointed that it’s not based on the new Panamera chassis with the funky suspension.
Overall I liked it but not convinced on the Abarth 600 headlights. Might be a grower. But not different enough to my 3rd gen to feel like a new car and warrant an “upgrade”
