Looks like it was trying to become a pickup but everything went wrong

Other than the awkward transition behind the B pillar, I really like that.

Indeed.

The presence of two handles at the rear suggests this is actually a ute. Fix that rear window, dump the leaper and chrome arches and it would be perfect.

I see what you mean, and the Queensland plates tend to support the thesis, but confusingly the handles appear to be on the wings rather than the boot lid/ bed cover.
The chrome feature between the rear side windows and the rear screen is a bit jarring too.
On the whole though, someone has had a brave idea and executed it pretty well.
Dump the wing too and I'm with you. I like it.

Aren't the handles actually fuel filler caps or are we looking at different things ?
What's a leaper ?

The handles are indeed the twin filler caps.

A leaper is the Jaguar on the bonnet that used to serve as the handle on 60s Jags but smaller ones got added as a tacky trinket ornament on later Jags. Always a no-no in my book.

Following on from the Supra, this is his project in the garage...
Not even sure what it is anymore, a Clio or 106 maybe?

30 years ago, completed, that would be the bees knees. Now though, Max Power has long gone, and it's an irrelevance.
Looks to be quite good craftsmanship though? Kind of cool as an art project, can't ever see it moving though.

It really isn't, I've seen the pictures during the build and it's all fibreglass and filler,as soon as he cranks up the bass it will start cracking, he's been warned but ignored the advice

Ahh yes, zooming in on desktop makes it obvious! Ta.

Still reckon that “bootlid” comes off and you’ll have plenty space for a few slabs of coldies from the bottle-o.

I don't think the car will have the power to move under all that mass.

On the plus side, they've made the standard VAG interior less dull to look at.
