Further to the chat about Spa Classic etc. A few friends went to Le Mans at the weekend. Usual BSJ campsite, car parking and such. Apparently a horrible experience this year. Attendance numbers appear to be increasing without the facilities to support. Challenging weather aside, logistical nightmare. 7 hours+ to get off the campsite yesterday - "setting off" mid-morning. Missed ferry and all the hassle that entails at short notice.
I’m driving back from LM right now. Was on BSJ, didn’t have any issues. The ACO did do some frankly bonkers stuff though - closed all the campsites 3.30-5pm yesterday so no campers could leave, but didn’t tell anyone unless you were one of the lucky few who got a text from them about 12.30pm!
Based on the timings I think those things may be linked. It seems that the people looking to get away yesterday morning (they were setting off around 10am) did so before proper traffic management was in place. So there was a massive jam.

That is utterly fabulous. I will even forgive the horrendous modern HVAC controls.

Now I like a bold colour. But there's no way I'd pay £50k for a hangover piss bronze 2007 997....

Love that… but it’s a huge amount of money for a 997 with the most chocolate engine of all the 996/997’s.

This is less chocolatey in one way, but much more in another.

Macadamia looks fabulous in bright sunshine.

Don’t like those wheels though

I think I'd have preferred that with the standard engine. And it's very rare you'll here me say that...

The talk of 928's made me look at this again, which sadly for me, now that funds are available, has now sold.

I need to experience a manual 928, that and the e31 840i really float my boat at the moment

That’s a very brave colour to spec on a GT3.

My perfect 997 remains a 997.2rs in aqua/gold with no graphics. Just for occasional Sunday early morning runs up the Rhonda road.
