I have seen these spiked wheel nuts on US trucks, but assumed no one would be daft enough to fit them here. Apparently not.

Protect bonnet by making holes in it and adding some plastic tat?

I think the brackets clip on, but even so, I can imagine some part of it will be rubbing against the bonnet. I'm always surprised at the amount of tat that is available for these cars. The bull bar is particularly humorous as I doubt it is mounted particularly securely. It reminds me of the Wood & Pickett nudge bars I used to have on my Mini. In the event you did actually have a nudge, the bar would transfer the impact straight to the bodywork, while remain undamaged itself.

S.100 Construction and Use regs would cover that and get you prosecuted.

It is quite sad that we don't have cars that can be modified anymore as they are built differently these days. Even Barry Boys gave up as there was little surviving tat to laugh at. Rarely if ever see anything properly and horribly modified these days other than window tinting and the like.

Oh, come on, the massive rear wings always make me wince and cry on the inside.

Anyone running wheel nuts like those no doubt has some contestable material on their computer hard drive regardless (same as the '4D' numberplate or cut-down numberplate brigade), so I should think section S.100 wouldn't faze them too much.

How is it possible to get this so wrong... I'm trying to figure out the reason but for the life of me can't...

It's an actual Cybertruck, with a wrap/paint job.
