None of my auto draw postal entries are ever processed by Rev Comps. Also didn't get my postal entry processed on the recent Ferrari etc.

I've sent lots of postal entries in and they are purposely not processing the vast majority of them. Always sent through the post office with proof and genuine new stamps. I'm not even sending in multiple entries on any competitions as I've learnt they never process those (despite being legally obliged to do so).

Will be reporting them. Also DCG purposely always bin several of the postal entries I send to them every time without fail on purpose.

These companies are blatantly breaking the law. What makes me sick is that whenever I don't get my postal entries processed the draws aren't even sold out - often the auto draws are barely sold at all. They would rather bin our entries than give us a ticket that loses them nothing. Have spent a fortune on postal entries - they are not free at all and it massively adds up.

These companies are making millions and basically running illegal lotteries
Paragraphed so its not a wall of text.
Strong words there Yoga whilst surrounded by posts of success. Let us know how you get on with reporting.

Are you sure you are submitting them correctly? Not having a go - I haven't gone down the postal route.

On another note, if you lived nearby, could you drop off your postcard to the door?

I found a YouTube channel about a workshop that prepares these giveaway cars for the eventual winners and the latest one was a stunning Escort Cosworth that had a recent resporay, top end re-build and massive AP brakes from a touring car.

Interestingly the car was never going to pass an MOT as to enable the brake conversion they had to remove the handbrake function but this guy and his shop exists to go over the cars and fix anything that's wrong before the competition.

THis one had a bunch of dodgy electrical gremlins and butchered wiring and he fitted a secondary caliper for the handbrake.

So the cars are at least well prepared before the comps but given the cost of these cars now they must be paying even more of a premium but i guess if they are turning over well into 6 figures for the raffle then sound business. I"m still annoyed that i'm not lucky enough to win anything by buying a single ticket now and then! biggrin

Rev Comps is a PO Box address and the Ts & Cs say it must be sent to that address

Interesting 1st post,

I see what you are saying and to a point I agree. However . . .

Rev comps are the only ones in my experience that actually process postals. Yes they don’t accept auto draws nor do they process multiple entries however do you blame them? Put yourself in their shoes - would you? If everyone only did postals these car raffles wouldn’t exist, they simply couldn’t afford to, they make absolutely zero money on a postal entry.

So with that in mind I’m grateful for what Rev Comps do process. Last week I sent a postal entry in for the £99 per ticket Lotus, now there is no way I can justify buying a raffle ticket for that much! So I sent the postcard in and didn’t expect it to get processed but fair play to them they did in fact put it through, I consider myself very lucky and I’m very grateful that I got a £99 ticket for £1.40! (Still didn’t win the car mind!)

By all means report them but if they get shut down we all lose right? My advice to you would be this: accept that they don’t do auto draws nor multiple entries. Chuck a few postcards a week on the live draws and the rest of the money that you’d been spending on stamps put on actual draws. That’s what I do, that way I don’t feel guilty being someone who only does postcards but I also feel like I’m getting a bit of a bargain when a postcard gets processed, they win, I win, happy days! Basically I’m not greedy about postal entries and I’m happy to spend with Rev Comps because they are decent at putting postals through.

I’ve spent years (and goodness knows how much money) on the national lottery and it wasn’t until recently that I realised how horrendous the odds on that are compared with the car raffles. I don’t want these guys to disappear (or be forced to becoming gambling sites and therefore no longer accept ‘free’ postcard entries)

Do check that you are writing them out correctly, correct address, all of the information in the correct order, clearly written, are you putting the answer to the question down as well?

Sometimes we don’t realise what we have until it’s gone.

Xclusive comps need to reword some of their advertising.

You do not have a one in ten chance of winning the Range Rover

Had one for the Yamaha Tenere processed which was surprising as it has sold well. Nothing yet on the Transit Camper, fingers crossed.

Also sent one for Apex66 which is massively undersold, but they've not processed it. Will be sticking to just RevComps now :-)

I can't be bothered to dig out my old spreadsheet but revcomps were over 80 percent out of several hundred for me. They do only do one per comp. though, which is technically breaking the law. Best of the big sites, apart from aspire who essentially processed all of them.

Elite were worst by a significant margin. DCG were pretty good but then stopped processing any for me.

Definitely not accepted this week. Think that's 3 of my last 5 gone "missing" in the post after having a close to 100% record up to then. The accepted ones over the last few weeks have all been at least 20k tickets each which I'm sure is a complete coincidence.

If my entry on Thursday hasn't made it I think I'll take a break for a while from both postal and paid entries...

Yep, just the Yamaha Tenere for me.

If anyone wants the keyword for the free comp on there which ends at 9.30pm tonight, it's FRENCH

Has anyone noticed that most of these competitions use google random number generator. Now if your a coder or work in that sector, you know full well you can essentially have it work in your favour, people seem to think because it’s google random number generator it’s legitimate but there is a way for you to essentially have let’s say 7 random numbers come up and then on the 8th attempt have the desired number. Does anyone even audit or check the legitimacy of these companies or are they simply not audited by anyone?

Nobody audits or regulates them. As you say, fixing a draw would be trivial.

Very interesting so in theory they could be running a simple code such as;

document.getElementsByClassName('gws-csf-randomnumber__result')[0].innerHTML='1007'

Putting this into google chrome inspect element console whilst on google number generator then having the chosen number in this case being 1007 come up. Obviously you can make this even more complex and even create a chrome extension etc but just to show it can be rigged. So as there is no one auditing them essentially you have to trust them.
