The Racing used a 24 valve 2 litre v6 that was the precursor to the Ghibli 2.0 engine used in the Open Cup.
Certainly not a shamal v8.
There was a Ghibli GT that had a v8 from the 3200 fitted after a terminal engine failure, and also I know of a Ghibli in Europe that had a Chevy ls7 installed in it.

yeah, cool swaps, or 'different' I like that, a bit different, making it your own a bit more or making it a bit more goooo

I've always quite fancied one of these era Maserati's but in coupe format.

No need for a convertible one as I have a convertible E30 325i with a 2.7 to tick the summer pub lunch car box. smile
