Haha, appreciate it’s certainly an ‘acquired taste’ and all a little melted round the edges but as a little family run around for the other half maybe…

OK, I’ll shut up now, but another car to add to this list that I didn’t know existed until my wife spotted it was the Daihatsu Materia (which she then went on to buy and own for coming on for what must be ten years?)

Very marmite! Well, imagine more just people don’t like to be honest but she loves it and it’s been surprisingly solid. Great internal space in a small car. If you can get over the looks! Ha
Looks like a little tykes car that has been scaled up.
The Materia made an appearance on Top Gear, JC compared it to some shouty sporty car for comedic purposes

Guilty as charged. Got one and absolutely love it. There’s a #3 Brabus that’s a bit nice too.
Genuine question: what do you call it?

A friend has one, and I irritate him calling it "The three sharp".
Surely the correct answer would be Number 3.
As # is known as hashtag, but is script talk for numbering I thought

I really like the Materia, and I adored our Daihatsu Move. Manic, buzzsaw triple engine and enough lounging space for four 18st plus doormen...and it looked like you could carry it! Brilliant cars

I think the #1 is supposed to be called the Hashtag One. Which is a terrible name. The Smart One or Smart Number One would have been a better name

Was sold as a Galant in non Oz markets, probably the most bland Galant by far.

I think the 380 was a size up from the Galant, it was the successor to the Magna/Sigma/Diamante.

ETA: wiki suggests the 380 was based on the US-market 9th-gen Galant, which was a fair bit bigger than the earlier Galants (which originated in the Japanese market) and even bigger than the Magna. So I was half right.

In sports trim, I would believe it was a Holden from that era if someone swapped the badge.

I’m intrigued, if in Japan, why is the sign written in English?

Probably already well known on PH; Canoo commercial/utility vehicle. Modular designs looks interesting.

IMO the design looks fresh and modern. An EV, that looks like an EV.

I like both of those designs, the camper especially.

Orion rear lights. Certainly a parts-bin special!
I bet you didn't know that Orion and Mk5 Cortina lamps were interchangable, Ford just updated the lens for the Orion.
