I thought I knew my Italian classics quite well, clearly not.

I didn’t know there was a convertible version.
Having been to countless Italian/Alfa days in my life I am still yet to see one of these beauties!

Calling something "hashtag" automatically means it should be crushed, I'm not even middle aged and I'm already thinking this st has to stop.
Agreed! Name is truly awful. Could’ve called it literally anything else

Likewise, but I find myself glad. It's lost all of the tautness of line that the coupé possess and looks somewhat melted to me. I want to like it, but can't frown

It's an Alfa , so ipso facto it is a thing of loveliness . Let the Arna be forgotten OK?

I would have the 1.5ti, a cherry with slightly more style.

Just had a chat with the owner of this whilst filling up.

He has had it from new and it has 7000 miles on the clock!!

Seven thousand!!!

And it looked as if it had only done 7 miles. I have never seen a car in such good condition as this Samba!

Saw this today. Looked like a cross between some kind of Mini and an Adam.

Friend has one of these, 20 years in a succession of FFRRs and got this last year, although in white (not as nice as the 'Avocado' pictured. Loves it. I've only been in it once but it's impressively solid.

Heretic that I am, I'm no fan of the coupe's looks, and that looks a proper mess to my eyes.

Wow what a survivor! More than thirty years ago a friend of my girlfriend of the time had one in red. And it was fked then,

Yep, never knew they existed. More importantly though, did you ask him why if he bought a car which he wanted to be a keeper, to choose one which fitted him.

Guilty as charged. Got one and absolutely love it. There’s a #3 Brabus that’s a bit nice too.

Genuine question: what do you call it?

A friend has one, and I irritate him calling it "The three sharp".

Surely the correct answer would be Number 3.
As # is known as hashtag, but is script talk for numbering I thought

I call it the Hashtag 1 as I believe that’s what Mercedes/Smart call it. Is it any stranger than Adam, 420 SE X drive etc. I have no idea really but it’s a really solid and enjoyable car and I’m very pleased with it. I would highly recommend it. The Brabus #3 interior and looks are like an eighties hot hatch.

The Smart is a joint MB/Geely venture. The same platform is used on about about half a dozen cars and counting

From the Mercedes bumf I have seen designed and engineering by Merc and built by Geely. I believe Geely and Mercedes are about 50/50 ownership of Smart now. Geely seem to be able to build a quality car, EX30, Zeeker both same platform and the Polestars seem to be well screwed together. It makes my MG4 Trophy I had seem like it came from Temu.

I don't get it either.
