Only it wasn't, was it?
When they were briefly sold here, I don’t remember the reviews being particularly positive. A contemporary late Defender will definitely be a more pleasant thing to drive. C5_Steve said:
Is this one of those cars you can order off Temu or whatever it is and they ship it in a crate?? Because I'm tempted....

Hideous looking thing.
Haha, appreciate it’s certainly an ‘acquired taste’ and all a little melted round the edges but as a little family run around for the other half maybe…OK, I’ll shut up now, but another car to add to this list that I didn’t know existed until my wife spotted it was the Daihatsu Materia (which she then went on to buy and own for coming on for what must be ten years?)
Very marmite! Well, imagine more just people don’t like to be honest but she loves it and it’s been surprisingly solid. Great internal space in a small car. If you can get over the looks! Ha

I thought I knew my Italian classics quite well, clearly not.
I didn’t know there was a convertible version.
Very rare Giulia GTC built under licence by Carrozzeria Touring in Milan. Only 1000 cars ever made. Carrozzeria were in deep financial trouble when they took the project on and eventually went under - the GTC was the last project they ever did. I didn’t know there was a convertible version.
