I have seen quite a few omg and wtf numbers about. The one pictured is a standard release plate isn’t it?

Yes, it’s on a Polo Beats first registered to JCT600 as a demonstrator or pool car. We bought it off them at 6 months old. It’s just a random DVLA number that happened to be on the car, but my wife likes it because she can easily identify her car in the supermarket car park!

Yes, security etched. It was quite typically 25+ years ago. I have seen lots of cars where the windows don’t match up with the actual reg hehe

To be fair, I didn’t really notice it when I was looking to buy it. It’s not that big a concern.
It’s no different to a distinguishing mark, such as a tattoo professing love for MARIA, times change and you can replace the glass and tattoo over MARIA!laugh

Why anybody would want to advertise the fact that they are the Boss is beyond me.
Not nice people generally.

If you had bought "MAR 1A" in Dec 96 for £22K you could always cash out for a profit....thumbup

Nah, he was just a bit of an entitled plonker. I would thoroughly love for him to have blown 3mcg higher on the breath test to be able to call his wife and ask her to collect the kids from the police station!
If he gets pulled over in Scotland he'll get a surprise.

Someone from just over the border (Cornhill I think) visiting a friend in Coldstream got nabbed just over the (Scottish) limit.

Earlier I saw a BO65 on a car too new to be a 65 plate, no fridge magnets though

Co-incidence or low budget boss?

And very general sweeping statements that they are not nice people generally? I am not sure how you can come to the conclusion that they are not nice, how many would you actually see and then meet and then make that assumption?

I think that about my "curtains’ hair cut that I had when I was 17 but I used to have a lot of sex back then.

I'm not sure BOSS number plates have the same effect. If they do I might be tempted.

biggrin

yes it’s like everyone has forgotten that when they were young they did all sorts of things, most utterly ridiculous, but hilariously cool at the time. It’s a problem with old people, especially ones who drive exotic cars. It’s why they’re such toxic bores biggrin

Saw one yesterday that was OO55 with a screw in the middle of the first O, to make it nearly but not quite a B. Very, very, sad.
