There's "EV11 MUM" and "EV11 DAD" not far from me. I think they're quite clever.
As this one cause a few tired keyboard toddlers to have a paddy, I thought I'd share another one that I see regularly. JED 130E (on an MX5)
Clearly a Star Wars/TIE Fighter fan. Let me know if it needs explaining, Ari.

A woman delivers takeaways locally in a green A45 AMG with 3D BO55 plates. Someone posted on the community Facebook page that she'd run over his cat outside his house, on a small side road on a housing estate, got out of the car and looked at the cat and then just driven off.
It's hard not to tarnish all A45 owners with the same brush, but what's the correct way to deal with a run over cat that's a gonner?- Stare at it.
- Move to side of road.
- Put on kerb.
- Take it home in a TK Maxx bag.
- Post a picture on the local FB group and say dead cat is here.
It's not cut and dry for a poor feline.

Jedi something.

It baffles me how someone could kill a cat with a car on a residential cul-de-sac. I don't want to veer off topic, but I would knock on doors first and, if I couldn't find the owner that way, take it to a vet to be scanned for a microchip.
Personally, I'm from a rural area and I was raised that If you kill it, you eat it. Its fascinating why people feel the need to effectively add another badge to their car via a personal plate. Particularly the B055 ones (or whatever) as referred to in the original post.
I wonder how many of the owners would also wear a badge on their jumper or something saying Boss XYZ (or whatever initals they have)
It's just all a bit 'look at me'.
Harmless really but quite interesting all the same!

You have to add a badge in the UK so if you have to run a number plate then people like to personalise. I guess it’s the same reason why people started to dye their mammoth skin clothes or paint their caves?I wonder how many of the owners would also wear a badge on their jumper or something saying Boss XYZ (or whatever initals they have)

It all would have been forgotten at the next junction, where they can deliberately get in the wrong lane and brake test a few people from said safety.

More strange passive aggressiveness from 'almost says something if you shut one eye and squint with the other' numberplate fans. JED 130E (on an MX5)

Variation on the theme spotted on a 'fake' Range Rover this time.
Remarkably seen within a few hundred metres of the infamous 4D gel plated (presumably to add to the overall pretence) 'BOSS REF' posted earlier in the thread. Must have been attending a 'BOSS' conference (in the numberplate world if nothing else).

Cue our resident handwringer posting 'stalking' and 'have you nothing else to do' type comments even though he clearly spends most of his time constantly stalking this thread.

I like numberplates. I read the good plate thread, I read the bad plate thread. I often even spend time looking up plates and fantasy shopping which knobbish plate I could buy.Remarkably seen within a few hundred metres of the infamous 4D gel plated (presumably to add to the overall pretence) 'BOSS REF' posted earlier in the thread. However, Even to me I wouldn't have noticed this as a boss plate.
