Seriously Overpriced Cars

It may have relatively low mileage but its not worth £28.5k! A specialist Mercedes dealer - known for his high prices - had one a few years back with 28000 miles and it was up for £15k IIRC.

Even aside from the price being more than 3 times what it should, buying a 9 year old car on a long finance deal is mental in itself.
Is it?A 9 year old car will have done most of it's depreciating, unlike a newer car so there's less chance of you ending up in negative equity.
Also, these days cars can run well past 9 years without any major problems.
Ultimatley it depends on what car it is and how much it costs.

Someone on my Facebook list is trying to buy this with a long finance deal. I feel it's overpriced, and he'd end up in negative equity after a few years.

Whilst it might look quite nice, I did warn him that he would be paying £14k for what is effectively a 9 year old, 70k miles diesel hatch with a fancy body kit. Looks like the company have several on their page, looks like a cheap way for them to make money.
I even found cars with the exact spec he wants between £4k and £6k.
I think he believes I was just being jealous and doubt he'll listen at all.

The Celestial Blue ZS they have, while nice, is ridiculously overpriced and has been for sale for years! As has most of their stock...makes me wonder how they make money.
Shame as if the prices for the low mileage MGR stuff were more reasonable I'd be tempted to go take a look...
Those prices are crazy. I love a bit of MGR tat but those prices are stupid.Shame as if the prices for the low mileage MGR stuff were more reasonable I'd be tempted to go take a look...

Today's lunacy:
I spotted this over a week ago and it was under 40k. It appears to have gone up to under 50k.
A white E46 M3 with an SMG gearbox. I can't think of a worse combination for that car. Completely certifiable.

White is popular and to be fair that M3 doesn't look bad. It is a touch on the pricey side mind but everything they sell is. I spotted this over a week ago and it was under 40k. It appears to have gone up to under 50k.
