not bad, although I do no like the rear part, somehow looks?

but stil, If I ever would buy a EV car lightweight-ish, then for now it would go to the Caterham project V and their lovely model 1189kg or 2623 pounds

I like this a lot. Please, please don't pull a Les Edgar on us.

I think Lotus should make something just like this….maybe call it the E Lise.
And the track version, the Exide.

I’d be amazed if a low volume production version was less than £150K though sadly

If true sounds great. Other car companies take note.

As much as this appeals to the Pistonheads audience, a car like this just won't sell in any volume to make a profit.

-> Cost price, likely over £60k
-> No storage
-> 2 seats
-> Limited range
-> Limited comfort and spec
-> Hard to get in and out of
Alpine levels of demand then.

According to Companies House the company Nyobolt Ltd has a total share capital of £1.27 (one pound 27p).

And I anticipate use of the word "bolt" in connection with electric cars may be close to GM's heart, in view of their Chevy Bolt EV.

Which means absolutely nothing

This is what Alpine should be doing!
I believe this IS what Alpine is doing, the next A110 will be a similar weight and maybe a touch larger.

As for no market, I'd say traditionally yes, if we were talking about ICEs as there was an alternative meaning few would want the new car. I'm guessing all these companies are hoping that if you want a small, light EV sports car there isn't currently an alternative, and the market might be very kind to the first couple of manufacturers to do so.

Looks great, prime candidate for a K20 swap.

I've been saying this for a while, by the time the ICE ban comes in (be it 2035 or earlier if Labour win) then technology will have moved on so much that charging your car will almost be like filling up with petrol. You will pop along to your local EV charging station, plug in your car while you pop into the ubiquitous onsite Starbucks / Costa. 10 minutes later, you have a 300 mile range to play with. At least I hope that's the case as I don't have any off street parking and can see ICE vehicles being taxed out of existence after 2030. Just don't let the thing catch fire.

This is the biggest problem, when this technology filters down to the masses and you can buy something like this for MX5 money, it will be very popular, but until then it's something for the very well off only, pity because I'd love one.

Absolutely. The shares in my company are only worth £3. £1 each.

What's not to like ?
Sound (or lack of it).
Gear changes - driver involvement is a huge part of the attraction, in a car like this.

Still, lovely looking thing, no doubt it will be fast, and handle very well too.
