Really no interest in most Porsches - this, however, fills me with want. What a thing to take off-roading

The whole ‘safari 911’ craze was a bit crap after the second one, and this is just another level of over priced tat.
The ignorance is on another level these days and PH is really not what it used to be. I looked at this car up close a week or two ago at Tuthill’s workshop. They are one of the best places in the world for a rally 911 and they did engineering for the ACS. The thing is exquisite and very much fit for purpose. The level of engineering is off the scale. Honestly, to call it “tat” is just the most uninformed comment I have seen on PH for some time. And on a forum which plumbs new depths weekly, that is some achievement.
It’s not specific to commentary on cars - many folk seem unable to simply articulate that something isn’t their thing, or to their tastes. Rather, they feel the need to reinforce their opinion by being vociferously derogatory about whatever it is.

Referring to something engineered by the likes of Tuthill as being “tat”, somewhat jumps the shark, however hehe

What purpose is that, seems a bit overkill for doing the weekly shop at Waitrose or being parked outside 'Caffeine & Machine' or Bicester Heritage?

confused There's a You tube link in a previous comment that explains exactly what its purpose is. I get the impression it will be used exactly as intended.

To avoid being breathalysed, a friend’s return journey from the local pub has a cross-country option, via various fields, two forest tracks and a spot of stream wading…

I like 911s and I like obscure special cars. Nonetheless, that looks dreadful.

The comments about "purpose" are a bit strange.

People get all moist for a mainstream production car with some carbon "motorsport" bits attached to it, that has next to nothing to do with a tube-frame race car, nor will the majority of them ever see a track. They are just road cars with a bit of car enthusiast status and crap ride quality.

People buy 4x4s which tens of thousands worth of locking diffs and electronically-disconnecting sway bars that will never, ever be used because these are school run cars that convey wealth.

Its just odd that some purposes seem more accepted than others.

I thought tuthill had been commissioned to build a short run of these. Must not have worked out.

I bet you’d have 10 times more fun in that than a supercar.

Love it!

Like every supercar ever built then, most of which spend their time driving slowly in 1st gear round wealthy cities.

It's also (probably) arguably a better "fast road" car than most supercars.

Nah.

Whilst i love all things Singer, Tuthill, Theon etc, this wouldn’t be on the shopping list.

Call me a philistine, but it looks comical.
