Zen Auto - being unreasonable?

So my vehicle was returned today. Bafflingly, the nice older man who collected didn’t acknowledge the glaringly obvious crease and scratch to the lower front bumper; just the scuffs to the alloys.

I did my best to obscure the scale of the damage through various coats of T-cut and ensuring everything else was spotless inside and out.

So I don’t know what to expect. He took photos prior to driving it off onwards to Manchester and said I’d get an email from Zen shortly.

This was at ~ 11AM. Here we are at 8PM and I have yet to receive anything, so I’m buckling in tight for some kind of official acknowledgement to let me know if I’m off the hook or not.

As promised, I’ll keep you posted.

Did you ever get any collection receipt from Zen?

Mine went back last week and I haven’t heard anything aside an excess mileage charge?

I came here literally to say the same. It’s been over a week now and I have not heard anything whatsoever from Zen. No invoice, no collection receipt, nothing.

The car was untaxed on Monday so they’ve obviously processed it for auction or wherever it’s headed next. But from my POV it seems I’m off the hook? I’m still holding my breath.

I’m checking AutoTrader and I can see a few of these vehicles with similar mileage and registrations to my own going up at various sellers around the country. These are clearly the ZenAuto batches. They’re actually going for good prices too.

I’m not sure what their turnaround times are but I’ll keep my eye out for my own.

Too bad I’ve downgraded to the 1.5eTSI V1 and enjoying some of the features I missed out on with the vehicles having been made slap bang in the middle of the chip shortage.

Thanks for the update guys. I've paid my final direct debit and will now arrange a collection date.

What did you use to bond the camera back in?

Superglue did the trick, it’s quite hard to get it aligned though.
