I've only had the chance just now to catch up this volume of the Thread and I must say it's off to a cracking start.

Plenty of good bits but this is my favourite:

There is something about a sidewall... Perhaps the inner caveman sees a bulbous curve and it instinctively triggers a thought of something else...

Jaguar aside - the chap painting my race car has got either an S-Type or Mk2 converted to X300 XJR running gear that I think he's fallen out of love with. I've only seen it from a distance, across a canal, through some shrubbery. But it sounds like a wonderful idea, and I reckon I know someone to sort the bodywork out...

Read my post. The bit where I say it was originally priced at 45k.
So over 50% less than that- admittedly lovely - MK1 and why I was surprised that you stated the 6.3 was "silly money".
