930 how come they shot up in value so much since 07?

Now the 996 Turbo will follow, what happened to the 930.

Which this space and see.

Cygnet. Not even going to call it an Aston Martin because it just isn't. It's an Aygo with an expensive badge. Actually, no, i'm not going to tarnish Toyota's great little city car like that.
Pedant Alert - It's an IQ with a expensive badge, point still stands though.
Damn! So close yet so far! laugh

I agree, it is expensive, but if you want to have (or at least, think you have) the best possible 205 1.6 GTi then you'd be tempted. £12k isn't a lot of money for a reasonably well-heeled enthusiast to pay if it's his passion.
If I wanted a 205 as you describe then I'd rather spend my theoretical £12k doing something like this:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

On a standard car the body work would be cheaper this leaving cash for subtle period mods like mi16 and 309 beam etc. The 205gti drivers site is packed with threads of people doing similar.

I'd class them as being more of an enthusiast than someone that would shop at 4 star then leave their "investment" locked up in a heated garage.

Yeah but it is based on a 90k Lexus SC430...biggrin

I'd say it's worth more like 5k but that's just me.

....with less than 4k miles!

sadly - a case of 'find me another one'

never going to be a drivers car, and destined for a museum.

The problem with this kind of buy is that the car is not rare, but the condition is. Thus, it can never be driven without destroying value.

Was thinking that. A red one sold last year that had 7k miles for less than that.

I know they are kinda special but £13,500 for a Racing Puma with 68K on is pure insanity.

Jeez, I was looking at buying one of these about 12 months ago and the actual selling prices were around £10k less than that!
A FRP for less than £4000 has got to be a decent bet for future appreciation the way fast Ford prices tend to go.

Standard one probably looks ok. That example however has been barried.
