I could be wrong (,probably am) but weren't ALL bar 2 F40s painted red by the factory with the two non red cars being for the sultan of Brunei or something like that.
Sitting back and waiting for the definitive answer now......
All F40s were Rosso Corsa and LHD. His Royal Moneybags (in fact it may have been his brother Jefri) had 7 converted to RHD post build and painted in various colours and with one trimmed in dubious grey leather

He did have the good grace to have 1 Rosso car in RHD with the authentic interior

He had at least one 288 GTO converted to RHD and painted black. Sold in the UK recently by DK Engineering, here with another of the 7 converted RHD F40s but this with the red factory interior rather than the dodgy grey leather

Didn't manage to get a shot but a very tidy looking F plate S2 Escort RST in Brighton this morning.

Looked great and brought back some memories.

I wish they put the grey interior back in the grey one tbh. They went so far as to respray it back to how it was from being a normal red one, the Brunei cars should remain as they were.

I saw the grey RHD one with the Testarossa style grey interior for sale at that dealer back in the day. I think they were slightly embarrassed by it and had it tucked away by the wall in the showroom.

Lovely car, but a shame it's had a respray in boring James Bond silver.

That's a real shame it looked brilliant in the red!!
I read this and thought that it was spectacularly cheap @ 122k, then realized it was from 2008, where did I park my Delorean.....

TVR S in Hampton Wick on Sunday:-

It's a 3000M, I had one in the 80s.

The 3000S was the convertible, I replaced my M with an S.

I never knew it was a portmanteau of Milan Torino as you said , I looked at Wikipedia and it also mentions myth or legend in it's naming too .smile
