Now that's what I call road presence. What a fabulous car. Great spot.

I am not sure we should forget the Porsche. I have looked at an online registry of the 993 GT2 and there was a RHD UK supplied Ocean Blue example built late 1996 as part of the final batch of 1997 model year cars. These are the most desirable ones, of which only 7 were UK supplied. The DVLA has this one down as a blue Porsche 3.6 litre May 1997 registration, MOT’d yesterday. If it is that car, it’s probably worth about £1 million.

What is different about the 1997 batch?

I don't know. He's got an insane collection so I guess the only answer is "because he can".

It's his car? Fair enough. Gotta respect that.

Despite his wealth he must be bored (or craving attention).

Personally, if it were me, the richer I am, the more I'd want anonymity.

No - the person in the photo above has the best job in the world - taking all his cars to car shows etc and raises money for charities.

This is Ron -

Watching this one negotiating the tiny streets and 90deg turns in central Napoli was interesting

There’s more than 1! The one I posted was also central Napoli so probably the same firm.

Less rust! No, probably just fewer of them and the last ones available in RHD.

I remember the only 2 times that I have ever seen a McLaren F1 on the road as if they were major events in my life! smile
One road-based F1 for me, near Goodwood on the A27, around 20 years ago. smile
Yes it does indeed stick in the head! A few years ago I saw F1 JOY parked up at the side of a road on Lake Como with an F40 squeezed in behind it. This was 4 days before the Villa D'Este Concours. I imagine their Owners were lunching. Probably pasta.. hehe

Hi Tim,

Do you happen to have any other pictures of the cars at the event?

I saw them unloading a McLaren P1 HDK the night before and there was a Ford GT on their truck ready to come out. This morning the P1 HDK and an Enzo were in the truck and I walked past a small enclosed trailer with a purple McLaren P1 on it.

Thanks

One of the strangest cars I've ever seen. I get it, but confused it just doesn't work.

Saw this one earlier in the week. I felt quite awkward taking photos of it and have been in 2 minds about posting it here. Maserati Levante hearse. Very imposing and quite sinister in the metal. Certainly a rarity.

There was a white Quattroporte hearse a while back that looked better.......ok, not so much 'better' but 'less challenging'
