When you want to use the parent and child bays but the EV charging bays are on the other side of the walkway...

Devil's advocate here, maybe someone was blocking the charger spot next to the Tesla? In that case, I'd probably do this as well.

You would block an entire supermarket walkway in front of child and parent and most likely disabled spaces with a live electric cable to get 20 mins free charge?

Some people only care about themselves and what they want.

Lovely one from Lidl in Abingdon yesterday.

This zounderkite was so busy “living his one life” in his jacked up Discovery that he failed to notice that he’d parked on a walkway and not a space at all. Still, I suppose he should get a tiny amount of credit for not using the parent and child spaces on the right of his location, or the disabled ones on the left! Then again, he could have always used one of the normal spaces, of which there were plenty.

For added moron points though, as he parked, he smacked into the metal post, then reversed, straightened up a bit (but not much, as you can see…) then drove forward and smacked the metal post again!

“Let’s off-road!!”

What would happen if you walloped the cable with that trolley repeatedly whilst occasionally pausing to scratch your head and look confused? Do the cars or cables have a bit that will deliberately come undone or breakaway?

I think this might be an ideal situation to break out cable ties and attach trolleys to the car.

Maybe his mum made him tidy his room before he was allowed out and he was still angry about it?

Given the competence of people who normally seem to drive those things, it's more likely they tried backing in next to the Tesla first and the cable wouldn't reach to the front of the car.....

You might want to don your flameproof jacket before the "I always reverse in regardless of any other considerations, and it would always be wrong to go nose in" gang see this wink

Stonehaven today, some self entitled ignorant motorists, this is at the end of the beach promenade car park where cars can only park on one side, at the end is a turning place for cars who didn’t find a space can turn around.

These egits finding no spaces decided to park in that space, cars coming along now looking for a space will have difficulty getting out knowing a lot of drivers have absolutely no idea how to reverse.

Only option is drive over the kerb and do a three point turn.

We've 100% had that location in these pages before. I bet it's a common thing on a nice day.

Excuse the probably daft question - but can you just unplug these things as they charge?

In most circumstances, no, the cables lock in.

Is there an Emergency Stop button or similar on the charger?

Purely out of technical interest, you understand...

Don’t think so. It was a hotel car park and there was no sign of the owner.

Blatantly done on purpose.

But dear god, that number plate. Some people don’t help themselves.

I think you are overestimating van driver's thinking process. Surely if he wanted to be an arse he would have squeezed in on the other side 2 inches from the Jag so Jag driver had to climb across from passenger side. He's just the usual unthinking numpty driving over the walkway for an easy park.
