Just saw this idiot park across 4 EV bays at Tothill Services. There were plenty of spaces in the long vehicle parking area but that would have involved walking…
how do they not get tickets, I mean ok, someone may suffer from not being able to park 100% aligned, but that is just selfish, what if the other bays are full, and someone stops and needs to fill up on electricity, what do they do then???

Services would have had big spaces for trailers in the caravan section too. Yesterday on the A1M there were several cars parking in coach and caravan bays, just one car each to the massive bays, because there was a queue for the car section, whilst caravans struggled with no spaces. I did see one coach driver chewing out a car driver though with some proper verbals laugh

A lot of places, services especially, tend to rely on ANPR cameras now rather than an actual chap patrolling.

Even if the Citroën was there first, why didn't BMW park in one of the empty spaces behind? Or the space to the left?

Ay Chieveley Services I parked a long wheel base van in the coach spaces at it was mega busy and I didn't want to take a minimum of 2 spaces back to back.
I got a 'ticket', saying I should park with the cars. Genuinely trying to help.

Given an LWB van is about 7m, you'd be filling a space and blocking the road if you couldn't park with the back overhanging a hedge.

Erm...well this was the closest 'space" to the shop in the garage and the driver was rather (insert your own description here) big boned/rotund/porky etc.

I used to do that. To fill up a can with petrol for my mower.

Until I gave up the thrill, noise, and soul of it for an electric mower.

Do any of you actually say anything to people when you see them parking badly and then get out of the car? I will try a remark like "you're not actually going to leave it like that are you?" unless the guy is much bigger than me!

My way is to say "fks sake" whilst staring at their (lack of) parking abilities. Does work sometimes if they hear, also an easy one to get out of if challenged laugh

I once said to a woman, " Would you like me to call you a taxi"
"Why?"
"To get you from.the car to the pavement"

She went into a mode, where you just ignore the village idiot (me), and adopt angry face.

Still I thought it was funny.
