BRE 4D

Correctly spaced on a Disco 5 in Somerset earlier.
In a similar vein "AHE 4D" on a Ranger, shame about the 4D plates

I agree, but without them, it would spell something entirely different.... wink

Does this belong here? St James Park area at the weekend..

What’s the story/history of this ‘format’? Is it a Channel Islands plate?
https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/search/previous-auction-registrations.html?searched=true&plate=5005+oo

5005 OO miss-spaced, sold last year for £17,810 + the bits
It's not often I'm stumped by a plate , but that one had me. Many thanks for the clarification.

It's quite a good example of what used to be termed "cover plates" I guess, something that used to be able to be picked up for a pittance to put on a bus that had been re-bodied where the owners didn't want the customers to know the shiny bits they can see are glued onto a 25 year old chassis!

They've sort of taken on their own relevance now though and are collectable in their own right.

I guess when you look at some of mine, for example PRO 5T. I'm neither called Prost nor have a car historically linked to the F1 driver but I like it for what it is-I do like the fact it means cheers in German but who else is going to get that?!

I do think it would look ace on one of those Lanzante 911 with the TAG F1 engine fitted-especially one of the ones which Alain himself used but my pockets aren't deep enough for that!

I'm not sure if this car belongs to someone who looks after James Bond's horses or someone who is a retired spook.

Currently on holiday in Cornwall and spotted OOO 400 on a well used XC70 in St Ives, complete with the Kernow flag as a love heart.

Coincidentally, I spotted OOO 300 this afternoon on a BMW 4 Series in Dorset.
