I only just found out that there was a Citroen 22CV which was shown at the 1934 Paris Salon but which never made production. The cars for the show used Ford flathead V8s but Citroen were developing their own.

Apparently the cars that were built were converted back to 11CVs and sold to staff. A Dutch bloke has built a replica using a Ford engine.

It’s weird. It’s a rwd V8, while their marketing at the time was all about fwd.

They can't be that rare. There have been about half a dozen of them on this thread. smile
To be fair it’s not been on volume 2 yet.

I bet there’s been more mentions of it in the thread than actual models on the road, there must have been 6 mentions. laugh
How many?

The description says it was a FWD V8:

You can see the engine has the gearbox in front of it, with the diff between the engine and gearbox.
Description says "Traction avant" (=front wheel drive)

hey also do a 4x4 Ignis, brilliant little thing
Yep. One for the Best Winter Cars thread.
wife had a 4-grip ignis. woefully slow, but it handles well and when it did snow it woudl drift anywhere easily and predictably. I learned a lot about car control in that thing.

Look at the way theyve integrated it with the two tone paintwork. Isnt it one of the best camper conversions you'll see?
Although perhaps the rear springs are a little soft.
