I like the Capri. It's clearly old fashioned, loud and brash so in and of its time. My favourite ever Capri was the Zakspeed 1.4 turbo racer, this has that kinda vibe mixed with an x-pack one. Yup, I like it.

There wasn’t a lot of fun to be had with decent looks and affordability back then. The Capri, especially with a Vee engine, made a lot of people happy.

Bodykitted Emira on bigger wheels. Makes the standard one look tame.

I was trying to figure out how the boot works. Those side bits must be fixed then the main wing opens with the boot.

I think without the black stripe the gaps between the spoiler and those side bits would really stand out. Clever

The hole on the front wing is a bit naff. Sticking up exhaust too is a pet hate of mine.

I had a similar wider arched mk3 escort years ago. But I don't think I'm brave enough to post a pic of that turd.
The 2 black holes? for say brake cooling ? yeah, not a fan of that, let alone painting those black...

the sticking up exhaust was a thing those days, like DTM and so on... at the time special? but years later its out hahah, but I remember when those were hot in the exhaust tuning branche hehe

hahahah, tell us more about that escort mk3 with a body kit? I owned 2 of those escort mk3 one bought XR3 and one trade in car a white one made to look like a XR3 or sort, nothing extreem though.
the only kit that looked good on a capri

both Ford Cologne racing kits from 1970 European touring car championship , found on many "boy racer capris in the 70s"

The later model was the 1974 GAA , was not often seen on road going Capris , they tended to fit the more popular 1970 cologne kit

in MK2 form the most famous was racer Dave Brodies mk2 capri

if you have deep pockets Ric Woods mk3 Zakspeed was for sale

speed bumps might be an issue

ah, some fine alu buckets, those will hold you and wow, crazy power, but... very low for normal street use, it could not go like that out my street. (speed bumps)

and you see him wrestling with the steering wheel when sanding still, those wide tires without power steering, if you have such wide wheels then some powersteering would be nice as well.

Should have put an rs200 front end on it and painted the car white.

not sure how to categorise this... is it a kit-car? is it modded? Whatever it is decent:

more's to the point it's based on a C4 backbone/chassis - but does it count as a kit or modded?
