So what did I see......

Merc ML Silver, and the reg clearly said MARC 1 which I know is impossible! I have tried working through plates such as M4RC J/L/I/T and the possible that the C was a butchered number 6 or something!

He had no other plates in the window, so definitely not a show plate.

Crappy ones aside for a moment, but are personalised plates just naff in general? I've seen a massive uprise in them lately, and most are meaningless and lame.

I quite like some car related ones, such as A330 BMW if you have, erm, a 3.0 litre BMW, but I could still never bring myself to be so attention seeky.
Yes.
Even that A330 BMW would be crap. BMW already put badges on the back of the car so one doesn't need anything else to tell one what it is. Nobody else cares.
Do these people also have a big sign on their house saying "Bovis 3 bed semi"?

One thing that makes no sense at all to me, people who have an S3, RS4, or an M3 etc. They de badge it, but have a model specific reg plate on it.

Personally, I take badges off to tidy up the back of the car not to disguise what it is.

I look at plates like that and I just see correct spacing and no extra screws etc, so they never really stand out.
