Sargeant... please sack him!

World Championships? Wasn't that Mr Latifi
Agreed however, if Williams want to be taken seriously they do need to put someone that can drive into the second seat. They nicked Albon off RB, suggest they do the same with Liam Lawson
(No comparing Logan to Checo needed)
You're right it was Latifi ... another equally useless shouldn't have been their driver! My mistake.Agreed however, if Williams want to be taken seriously they do need to put someone that can drive into the second seat. They nicked Albon off RB, suggest they do the same with Liam Lawson

I agree in principle
Whilst we/liberty probably don't mind having a comedy buffoon 'spicing things up'... unfortunately, no team wants one.
Just enjoy the rest of the season
The thing is for me crashes don't "spice things up", they rob other drivers of hard won advantages that disappear instantly under red flag or safety car. Aggravated by the (imo) stupidity of allowing cars to pit under the safety car. The safety car imo should neither benefit or disadvantage anyone from before it was deployed but right now it can shake everything up unfairly.Whilst we/liberty probably don't mind having a comedy buffoon 'spicing things up'... unfortunately, no team wants one.

Anyway I have managed to get my two gripes out in one thread (Sargeant's crashes and pit stops under the safety car).

I’m just watching highlights now (47 laps in).
When was the last time a driver retired themselves due to the conditions. I mean Alonso is what 40 years old (now I admit he is super fit and cycles at a very high level) but I would be embarrassed if I was Sargent and had to retire due to fitness / conditions at his age.
Alonso is a real super star at his age and still performing top notch, had to laugh today when he went off the track across all the gravel no doubt bumping his already burning ass (that his team could do nothing about). When was the last time a driver retired themselves due to the conditions. I'd criticise Sargeant for many things but succumbing to the conditions isn't one of them, though driving so slowly on the way back to the pit was dangerous imo. I expect he was really embarrassed and JV secretly very frustrated... but relieved to get LS's car back in one piece.
Overall I feel sorry for LS this year, it's a right public humiliation which isn't nice. I wish he'd resign and take it on the chin rather than be sacked as will inevitably happen.
Again Logan caused a safety car that robbed (in today's race) Norris of a ten second lead.
I'm not sure if I am more frustrated by Logan's crashes or the stupid safety car rules that mean the race order at the point a safety car in announced is not preserved when the safety car comes in.
I am sick of Logan and/or safety cars robbing drivers of hard won leads. The FIA need to sort out the latter.
