Hungaroring advice

Mrs. Jim and I are going to Hungaroring next year and staying in Budapest, Has anyone got any advice regarding getting to and from the circuit?
I've seen there is a bus service but wondered if anyone had tried it or knew of any alternatives?
There is the train to get there, stopping at Kerepes. From then on you have a bus shuttle, very frequent. But it gets very busy (and I got rained on too!).I've seen there is a bus service but wondered if anyone had tried it or knew of any alternatives?
There is another way, you can walk to the station before Kerepes (on the way back to BP), bit of a walk through the countryside, but you'll most likely find a seat on the train.
That train stops in Ors Vezer Tere, which is also the end of one of the tube lines. Generally, public transport in BP is amazing, there's always a tube/train/tram/bus to take you everywhere!
You could get a cab, relatively cheap from memory. I'm sure you'll enjoy!

This may not be entirely helpful, budget wise, but when we went this year we hired a man with a merc for the three days which, combined with Paddock Club parking passes made the trips to and from the circuit effortless. We stayed at the Intercontinental. Perfect location but the rooms could do with a bit of a makeover. However it has a lovely outside terrace by the Danube where you can have breakfast if you want and is ideal for a post race drink. The hotel was used by Aston Martin this year so you couldn’t move for green shirts in the morning (however I think all the drivers stay in the Four Seasons judging by the number of fans outside). The man with the merc was arranged through the hotel concierge.
Expensive I know and before we went Mrs Wombat accused me of being far too profligate but once she was actually in the car wafting in and out circuit she agreed it was money well spent.
