Apparently there’s a regs update that could point to Red Bulls advantage disappearing.
From Twitter,
“ The 2024 F1 sporting & tech regulations were just updated today with some very interesting changes. From a really cheeky braking system update, Mule Car testing, tyre testing, penalty application, stopping on track during qualifying”

11.1 Brake Circuits and pressure distribution -Any system or mechanism which can produce systematically or intentionally, asymmetric braking torques for a given axle is forbidden

I was rather hoping they’d have introduced the Indycar rule that if you cause a red or yellow flag in qualifying you’re disqualified from the session, but alas no it’s just some tidying up of language.

The only new bit in the Sporting regs is the introduction of ‘mule cars’ for tyre testing, which means adding new bits to old cars for the purpose of making tyre testing more representative. I guess Pirelli struggled to get much useful data from the old 2021 cars or the mostly-rubbish 2022 cars.
