We’re in Canada, one of my favourite circuits. It should be super close - it’s a fast street circuit, so expect McLaren and Ferrari to be right there with RBR. It could be a great race with actual overtaking.
My money is on a McLaren 1-2 (Piastri- -Norris)- so expect them to have a total disaster. Sorry Derek.
Poll is for the win.

One of my favourites of the calendar year! Love the evening race time too!
I've gone for a Lando win, McL seem to be on the ascendancy now and I believe Max will start showing cracks now the challenge is here. Could we start to see some turbulent times in the friendship between the 2?
Lewis does well here, can see him pipping Boring George in the final classification, perhaps not qualy!
Always an exciting first few corners when someone doesn't want to yield, we have a few of those on the grid these days too!
Leclerc to bin it into the wall of champs under no pressure at all mid way into the race.
Tsunoda to get aggie at someone with some serious pushing and shoving.

Can't see past a Max win.
Think the next four will be McLaren, Ferrari, McLaren, Ferrari. But which drivers? No idea.
Checo will step up and show that he can actually drive the Red Bull.
Mercs will be 7th and 8th, possibly split by Checo or an Aston.
Stroll will hit the wall, Sargent will be his useless self and the Alpines will not risk anything. KMag will have a super wide Haas holding everyone up from 13th back. Tsunoda will show up Danny Ric yet again and there will be meaningful camera shots of Lawson in the garage. Albon will qualify well and drift backwards.
It might be a boring race (I very much doubt it) and if it is, it will still be super exciting compared to Monaco.

I love the Canadian GP, which has had some classic races over the years. Particularly loved Jenson’s win in 2011 (I think) and of course Lewis’ first win.
Really interested to see whether things remain close between RB, Mc and Ferrari. I’m hopeful, but only time will tell. I do wonder whether we might actually get some cracking close racing over the next 18 months only for the new regs to hand the advantage back to one or team or another, as is often the case.

2011 was an incredible race- no harm in watching it again Really interested to see whether things remain close between RB, Mc and Ferrari. I’m hopeful, but only time will tell. The idea that someone who knows stuff about F1 thinks 1 & 2 is a possibility is enough for any McL fan. Crumbs from the table I know, but crumbs!.My money is on a McLaren 1-2 (Piastri- -Norris)- so expect them to have a total disaster. Sorry Derek.
Thanks for the work.

Also maybe KMag can finish the race without penalties.
Remarkably, he finished his last race without any penalties, which was quite surprising considering he managed to end his race along with Hulkenberg's and Perez's after 30 seconds of racing Also maybe KMag can finish the race without penalties.
BTW the hit on Perez looked like a replay of KMag taking out Sargeant in Miami....for which KMag was penalised.

Looking forward to this!
With a combination of pressure at the top, (Max) momentum, (Ferrari & McLaren) I think we'll see at least one of the top 6 in the wall of champions either in qualifying or in the race. (Knowing how lady luck works, it will be Piastri or Norris, causing a safety car that kills the race win for the other!)
Redbull, Ferrari & McLaren on the podium, but no idea of the order.
