What’s the best time to get to Silverstone Car Park Sunday
Discussion
Hi. We are travelling to the F1 on Sunday this year and have booked car parking. It states the car park opens at 6.00 but I wanted some advice on what time I should arrive and start queuing to get into the car park? Don’t want to drive around for ages if I get there early and can’t join a queue. Thanks in advance.

Harsh but true. If you’re driving in on Sunday, and the car park opens at 6, plan on getting there around 6:30. You’ll hopefully miss the initial queue, but not yet be caught in the madness. At that time in the morning, you do have time to spare though.
From last year:
6am - Gates open to fast track ticket holders (Off track)
6.30am - Gates open (Off track)
8.35am - 9.25am - FIA Formula 3 feature race (On track)
10.05am - 11.10am - FIA Formula 2 feature race (On track)
11.20am - 11.35am - Best of British - historic F1 cars (On track)
12.05pm - 12.40pm - Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race (On track)

Last time I went was '21 - we got there just before 06:00 (main car park Dadford Road for Gate 16 I think) and had F/T tickets - and were expecting long drawn out covid pass checking process. We were drinking lager eating a bacon sarnie by 07:00. However getting out was an absolute cluster!! Have a pee before you go back to the car!If you’re driving in on Sunday, and the car park opens at 6, plan on getting there around 6:30. Depends which car park really and where you want to watch the race though if you have grandstand tickets that’s not an issue. If you’re just general admission, you’ll want to think about where you want to watch the race compared to where your car park is and maybe rethink? I’m sure you’ve already thought of al that though. Personally I’d aim to get there for 0600 with GA tickets
