Having bought a pair of tickets for the Fridays practice,( that were delivered about 6 weeks ago) I since heard nothing from Silverstone ref either a refund or using in 2021, despite emailing and asking what's going on, anyone else had the same ???

You'd think they would offer a pretty chunky incentive to allow you to use the tickets in 2021. If there is no vaccine by then, they will probably struggle to sell out the venue... Better surely to incentivise people to hang on to the tickets already sold. Not to mention if they are struggling to sell next year, the tickets could end up cheaper.

If they're literally offering refund or roll over to 2021, sounds like a pretty obvious choice to me smile

They are guaranteeing that the tickets won’t be cheaper next year and normally there is a heavy price rise (i know we aint living in normal right now). Im quite happy with the choices i have been given to be fair to them.

Good choice Sheetmaself. A vaccine won't be ready by next summer, and even if it is, there will not have been time to manufacture it and vaccinate everyone by then, so there might still be social distancing rules, which will put tickets at a premium, if they have to leave empty rows in grandstands next year. They will easily sell out the venue if they have to reduce numbers.

Yes, on the mailing and advanced ticket list as I go there frequently, (and have done since 1965)!!!

I had the email saying they would offer the choice of refund or roll over in 2 weeks, but that was two weeks ago and haven't heard anything since.

This was the message

"What about your 2020 ticket?

Nothing matters more to Silverstone and our owners, the British Racing Drivers’ Club, than taking care of our motorsport fans. Without you we wouldn’t exist – it’s as simple as that. I would like to reassure you, as my previous letter, customers who have purchased a ticket will be given the option of either transferring their booking directly to 2021 or of taking a full refund. All customers will be contacted in the next two weeks with full details, so we do ask you to please be patient with us as we work through all our bookings."
