'Pole, win and fastest lap in same race
This is sometimes referred to as a "hat-trick".'

I thought this might be worth a share as despite some cars/drivers dominating a race it doesn't occur particularly often - wiki:

What a collection of talent!

I also stumbled across the 'Grand Slam' stats - wiki:

Hats off to the Flying Scott.

Probably doesn't happen that often as the leader manages the race 99.9999% of the time plus the fact the hardware needs to last more than one race.

And I presume those stats come purely from World Championship F1 races. If all F1 races the participants took part in were covered, I bet Clark would look even better.

Actually attributed to Fangio in an earlier era - where overdriving often meant a short career.

Hamilton took his sixth 'grand slam' this afternoon - 'Pole, win, fastest lap, and led every lap'.

The reason I started this thread was because I was looking into if it was worth a punt, I guess it was!

Yet there are two tables above, one for each.

Ahh.. makes sense. That's seriously difficult these days when the pit stop is unavoidable though... Need one hell of an early lead.

Thanks for the info smile

Sure - but still a rarity when combined with pole, fastest lap and the win. I'm aware that is the point smile
