Brazilian Football Club "Corinthians" have launched a commemorative third strip in Black and Gold to match the JPS livery of the Lotus in which Ayrton Senna won his first World Championship

Jolly smart it looks too.

Want one.

Senna never won the WDC in a Lotus dear chap. All three in McLarens. First F1 race win in a Lotus, yes.

You are of course correct, I was quoting from the Corinthians website where I read it and copied it without thinking. Perhaps the auto-translate from the Portuguese is the problem?

Nice shirt though but.

Apparently each horizontal gold strip across the front denotes a GP win.

I only looked on eBay. I am not sure I like it and I don't £70 to £100 like it.

Is there a connection between the football club and Senna?

If you google Senna and Corinthians you'll find a photo with Senna wearing a white tee shirt with the Corinthians badge on it under red racing overalls.

To be factually accurate, he won his firs F1 World Championship race in a Lotus (the 1985 Portugeuse GP). He had won plenty of races before that.

I kind of think everyone knows he didn't get to F1 without winning a single race Eric hehe

I'm sure you are right. But that is not what you said.
