Which year was your favourite race?
Three years I remember personally:It is 70 years since Silverstone, a former RAF base, hosted its first British Grand Prix, on 2 October 1948.

Which year was your favourite race?
1987 - Mansell's famous win over Piquet, one of the first GPs I ever went to.
1998 - Schumacher's tactical victory in the pits.... loved it as I came up with the notion as soon as he got the penalty.
2008 - Hamilton's wet weather masterclass - I was there in a work capacity and it was like watching someone in a different league.
71- first time I saw a GP, if not an F1 race. Dull race, Stewart walkover .
73- we were Peter Revson fans, even had Yardley McLaren jackets , so win was special . If not as special as watching Peterson at Woodcote in the Lotus 72
73 - TT - CSLs and Capris
78 - Keke wins Intnl Trophy in a downpour- in a bloody Theodore
70/80s- amazing FF1600 battles
81- Watson win, crowd counting down gap to Arnoux's ailing Renault
85 - THAT LAP from Rosberg - 161mph
87 - We were in Stowe grandstand . Nuff said
85(was it ?) very first F3000 race
89 - the NOISE of the new V10s and V12s
92- Mansell's pole lap
And finally, the best sounding engine I have ever heard - at tyre testing in about 2005 - the Toyota V10 . Utterly extraordinary range of sounds
