Exactly that. And the Lewis footage is also similar. Looked like Hulk's footage was not so bad but still..... They seriously need to fix this.Greeny said:

or even integrated into the halo...
I agree, think they have missed a trick here. Two or more cameras intergrated in the halo could give some great views, 180 degrees or more.
Having said that, I think the apparent rush to have the halo approved means these ideas probably have fallen by the wayside!

Much worse than I imagined. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.Oops, sorry if you are not allowed to say such things anymore.

Poor? That's bloody horrendous! People who used to sit behind the pillar's at Aston Villa had a better view of the game than the viewers of that camera angle.mko9 said:
Then you would have no visibility on what is going on inside the cockpit, which I think adds a lot. Go back to a camera in the T-bar on top of the airbox?
As it's meant to be all about 'the show' and the fact these cameras aren't exactly expensive or heavy why didn't they mandate:- 1 camera integrated in to the front of the halo, giving you an almost drivers eye view ahead.
- 1 camera integrated in to the back of the halo, giving you a view of the driver's helmet (stop tittering at the back).
- 1 camera on the airbox looking down, gaving the hands-and-wheel view.

All the money that has been spunked on this, and yet it appears noone considered the TV viewer, which ultimately is the key income source for the sport.
Exactly. I can't quite believe just how useless the picture is and how the hell this got approved. I mean, the in car footage makes a massive difference to the TV viewer.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
