Hi all, after toying with booking the Belgian Grand Prix, I've just booked the cheapest grandstand tickets I could find for Silverstone. Anyone been in Cospe C before? I can't face having to be at the gates at the crack of dawn to catch a glimpse in General Admission - so this way we have an allocated Sunday seat, and the chance to roam on the Saturday.

Next question, I have found a place to stay around 8 miles away, so was thinking of cycling to avoid the carpark queues and prices. I take it we can just chain the bikes to a fence near the entrance? I can't find any info on this. We will probably get some really cheap bikes rather than risk our own just in case they get nicked!

Any info appreciated, this will be me and my husbands first grand prix and a treat for our 10th wedding anniversary.

I'd call them - there used to be bike parking IIRC.

Thanks, I've sent them an email to ask, got a really quick and surprising email back:

Bikes are allowed into the circuit, you may lock them up at the foot of the grandstands or against the fences as long as no obstructing the paths and roads

So we can take them in and lock them nearer our stand. Bonus!

Loads of people on bikes in the circuit, they don’t allow them in at Spa though
