Although a Tilka track it doesn't look a bad one, clearly taken the same ideas he used for COTA, got a bit of Silverstone maggots beckets in it, istanbul park too, the only thing is itll be like a dust bowl and as flat as a snooker table

Why?!
Plenty of very wealthy enthusiasts willing to pay a price to drive the circuit. Interest in Motor Racing is rapidly growing across the MENA region and plenty of cash swilling around to fund this interest. It's only built to current F1 specs. There's no plans to host F1.

Exactly this, its only an F1 spec track, it's not on the 2018 calendarIt's only built to current F1 specs. There's no plans to host F1.

Oh may the church bells ring out in celebration- another F1 venue in a a part of the world which has too many(ie any at all ) already. It must be to celebrate Kuwait's rich contributions to the sport, right ?
Exactly, if a country didn't have the wherewithal to build a grand prix circuit in the 1950's it pretty obnoxious for them to consider qualified to build one now. Motor racing is all about history, it has absolutely nothing to do with cutting edge technology. Mr_Thyroid said:

Do remind me about the cutting edge technology created by the gulf states ? And you might find it instructive to look at crowd figures for races held there, and to reflect on where most drivers come from and where their cars are designed and built. Jerry Can said:
Thats a track with no overtaking. Turn 1 scuppers any chance of a decent overtake under breaking (there will only be one line through there...) and the rest of the track will be follow the leader. I expect to see it (with great fanfare) added to the list to start the season off after Australia call it a day. Speaking of heritage, there is a wiki page for Kuwati racing drivers...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Kuwaiti_rac...

How do you think another country will build a fan base, a driver base or a manufacturing and design base without a top class circuit?
Really - who is designing the buildings?
No problem with anywhere building race circuits- just a big problem with countries such as Bahrain and Azerbaijan getting Grands Prix whilst France , for example, who not only held the first GP but have produced countless drivers and teams, has been without its own GP for some years . To be remedied next year thankfully ...

Indeed, but you aren't breaking the law in Northampton if you are outside five pints of beer and are planning on a horizontal climax to your evening with a barely dressed harpie from Kettering in the Holiday Inn you just booked . Some studies show that this behaviour is becoming almost compulsory
