How easy is it and clear/resolution. I.e. Better to watch on my laptop or phone.

I watch it on a 46" TV - and it's totally fine.

Laptop might be tricky if you run Windows 7.

Its watchable, however its only something like 720P so nowhere near as good quality as on Sky etc, especially if on a large tv.

You can tell it's not broadcast TV, particularly on wide-angle panning shots where the frame rate drops, and the alternating colours of the kerbs seem to upset the codec somewhat. It is a lot better than it was a couple of years ago, though, and the picture quality is much better than the live alternative, BBC R5L.

40" TV and 72Mbps internet here. No issues at all. That said, I'll probably just avoid the result and watch it on C4 as Sky, when you're used to C4, is like local radio when you're used to BBC!

Ok I don't have internet at home (or a phone line). I never bothered. I used unlimited 4G from my phone for internet and my work tablet has its own internet enabled.

Can I run the internet from my phone via the cable into the tv? As I do with my own laptop when I need the internet.

I don't have sky and never needed a landline phone. I've got a mobile for that.

The NowTV mobile app blocks any attempt to screen-mirror onto a TV unfortunately.

What you could do is buy a NowTV box or Chromecast and connect it to the Internet using your phone's personal hotspot. In fact you may not even need to do that - if your TV is a recent Smart TV, it may already have a NowTV app available for it. Connect TV to Internet via mobile phone and away you go.

This is not possible. You might think it is happening, but the content stays at 25fps throughout.

Obviously he meant bitrate. And the frame rate is at 30fps.

I stand corrected although I see no tearing at 60Hz unlike 50Hz. It's on Windows using NowTV app.
