We were thinking of doing France next year but the tickets are still no on sale (even though Silverstone, Hungaroring etc. all after France but are already on sale).

Is there any doubt about the race, just looking to book flights before the price goes up but don't want to end up with flights to a non existent race.

Anyone heard any rumours about the race?

Have a look at the Train, Eurostar are London to Marseille direct, 6 and a bit hours £50! The old town is great! The drives fun too ( a lot more than £50)!

It's a bloody fabulous drive down there . I was at Ricard in late 80s- blazing hot , featureless and a bunch of prostitutes on every cross roads back to civilization. I have been to nicer circuits...

Ah the mickiest of all the mickey mouse circuits. No wonder since the owner is the Walt Disney himself.

It'll be interesting to see how they keep the drivers inside the lines there.......

Have they confirmed which version of the circuit they're going to use? I assume one of the "full length" configurations as today's cars would probably manage to lap the "club" circuit of the late-80s in under a minute!

I guess if they use the full circuit they will use the chicane half way down the Mistral straight. Would be nice if they didn't as IIRC it's 1.8km long with the sweeping Signes corner at the end which would generate some impressive cornering speeds with today's cars.

Regardless of which version they will use, I hope that Liberty Media will be forced to display a warning for those who suffer from epilepsy. This st is vomit inducing.

They are indeed using the full length circuit with a chicane on the back straight. They claim that they will still be going into Signes at around 200mph!
