Renault to terminate contract with Red Bull

I know this is the daily mail but could there be any truth to this? What would this mean for Red Bull? I can't see Ferrari or Mercedes wanting to give them engines so would only leave Honda. I can't see them holding onto their drivers if this is the case.

On Autosport too. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/131789/renault-s...
WOW. Did not see that coming.
Complaining too much obviously didn't sit too well with Renault.
Strange thing is that if Red Bull go with Honda engines they will only complain MORE if the engine does not improve.
Or the Honda unit will be the one to have and Red Bull will be the team to beat again.
Many questions but it must be a massive headache for Red Bull.

Can't see Danny Ric and Max being very happy about this. Of course knowing Alonso's luck, Honda will probably have an epic engine next year, fitted in probably the best chassis.
Alonso makes his own luck or bed to lie in, depending on your point of view. But, I would laugh if by some sort of miracle, Honda did pull a massive rabbit out of the hat for next season.
I think, though, its more likely to be the RB drivers with the miserable faces.
Question is though, if the Porsche-RB stories are true, would Honda be interested in such a short time duration deal?
Interesting times.

A great move by Renault, if true.
Indeed. You'd like to think that they've happily gone along with the TR deal to drop their engines with the thinking that RB think they have all bases/options covered to swap to suit whichever is the better engine later, with this bombshell in mind, and RB have swallowed the bait
I suspect with an ex-Reggie man in Eric Boullier at McLaren Renault will probably feel they will have a better relationship with McL than can be at RB with the attitude that RB have had over the past few years.
Makes you wonder if DM will pull out of F1 and take his train set elsewhere now. Can't see him wanting his fizzy drink associated with that dog of a Honda (assuming they can't pull the rabbit out of the hat)?
